Jason D (also known as Jason Duloo) is a trailblazing South African Christian artist whose journey continues to break new ground for South African gospel music on the global stage.
Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, Jason has become known for opening doors that few South African Christian artists have walked through before. Throughout his career, he has achieved several historic firsts for a South African artist, helping showcase South African worship and Christian music to audiences around the world.
An award-winning songwriter, worship leader, speaker, and recording artist, Jason has ministered across South Africa, the United States—including Maui, Hawaii—and internationally, sharing a message of faith, hope, and unity. His music has reached audiences through television, radio, digital platforms, churches, conferences, festivals, and community events.
Among his career milestones, Jason became a quarterfinalist on SA's Got Talent, won the Walmart Global Talent Search in the United States while proudly representing South Africa, and earned a nomination for the SABC Crown Gospel Awards. These achievements have established him as one of the pioneering South African Christian artists to gain recognition on both national and international platforms.
Beyond music, Jason is the founder of Elev8 Worship, a movement dedicated to bringing people together through worship while transforming communities through practical outreach. From worship gatherings and baptisms to blanket drives, toy drives, and community initiatives, his vision is to see faith lived out beyond the platform.

Looking back on The Opening Act Competition 2023, I'm filled with gratitude for the journey.
Although I didn't make it to the next round, I was honored to finish 2nd in my group and among the Top 5 finalists. While it wasn't the outcome I had hoped for, it became a significant milestone in my career.
One of the greatest highlights was being featured on WNCT and FOX News in the United States. As a South African artist, it was an incredible privilege to have my story shared and to connect with a whole new audience. Those opportunities reminded me that God can use every step of the journey to open new doors.
To everyone who voted, shared my journey, prayed for me, and believed in me—thank you. Your support has been instrumental in helping me continue pursuing the calling God has placed on my life.
Since then, the journey has continued with new music, international ministry opportunities, and reaching audiences around the world. Looking back, I realize that this competition wasn't the destination—it was one of the milestones that prepared me for everything God had ahead.
Every setback became a setup for something greater.

Launched in 2014, Over the past seven years Elev8 has inspired countless people across different generations, born from the idea that normal everyday people can and will make a difference in the world. We are dedicated to creating uplifting, passionate music that will absolutely elevate you to the next level in your experience with God. Last year we put together an amazing program in addition joining us for the first time was International Speaker from Pastor Daniel Owens from North Carolina. The Elev8 experience is always full of fun, life and creativity with a strong humanitarian mandate towards the issues that face people around the world. Its appeal is far-reaching and it is a perfect and inspiring conference for anyone from all walks of life.
