JASON DULOO BIOGRAPHY 

Award-winning South African artist and songwriter Jason Duloo is bringing his distinctive sound to the world.

Born Samuel Duloo in Durban, South Africa, during the apartheid era, the artist known as Jason Duloo began his journey in a country shaped by extraordinary cultural diversity, resilience and change.

From Durban to the international stage, Jason has built a distinctive career that crosses countries, cultures and audiences, while carrying the sound and influence of South Africa into his music.

A classically trained singer, songwriter and worship artist, Jason’s musical foundation was shaped in Durban. His South African roots continue to influence his sound, songwriting and creative identity.

Jason first gained national attention as a quarterfinalist on SA’s Got Talent before his career expanded internationally. In the United States, he became a two-time Walmart International Talent Search winner, representing South Africa and earning the opportunity to perform at the Walmart Shareholders Meeting in Bentonville, Arkansas.

One of his biggest career moments came at Bud Walton Arena, where Jason performed before more than 19,000 peopleand an international audience.

Jason has also opened for global music icons Brian McKnight, Mariah Carey and Rod Stewart, placing him on stages alongside some of the most recognized names in music.

In 2023, Jason reached the Top 5 of The Opening Act competition in the United States, marking another significant milestone in his international journey.

In 2024, Jason’s music reached the shores of Maui, Hawaii, after winning the T-Mobile Talent Search at the PEAK Awards. The achievement took his journey to one of the world’s most iconic destinations and marked another memorable chapter in his growing career in the United States.

His music has also taken him from South Africa to Nashville, Doha and stages across the United States, connecting with audiences from different cultures and backgrounds along the way.

Jason’s achievements include recognition from the Crown Gospel Music Awards, along with television and media coverage in both South Africa and the United States.

Now, another defining moment has been added to his journey. Jason’s song “Superman” is under Grammy consideration for Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. Recorded in South Africa, the song brings together his Contemporary Christian influences with a distinctly South African sound and bilingual elements.
