From South Africa to Grammy Consideration

When I first put pen to paper and wrote “Superman” in Durban, South Africa, it was simply a song with a message I believed in. Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would one day travel beyond borders and be heard by people around the world. What started with a few words on a page has become such an important part of my journey, growing into something far bigger than I ever expected.

The song was recorded in South Africa at the world-famous Sesalos Studios, with Kundai Vera working on the final edit, Brent Quinton on guitar, and Paul Banks working on the vocals. It was an incredible team, and everyone brought something special to the sound.
And of course, every great song needs an equally amazing music video. Yashveer from Lucid Media took the vision and brought it to life—and, you guessed it, we hit the streets of Durban to film it.
We started in the early hours, just as the sun was coming up. Watching the city slowly wake up while we were filming was something special. The streets, the morning light, and the scenery gave us the perfect setting to tell the story.setting to tell the story.
At its heart, “Superman” carries a simple message: we all have a God-given gift and purpose, and we all have the ability to make a positive difference. You don’t need superpowers to change the world—you just need to use what God has placed inside you.
Fast forward to June 16, 2026. The new version was released, and then came one of the biggest moments of my career—“Superman” entered Grammy consideration for Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song.
I’m incredibly grateful to every person who believed in me from the very beginning, and to everyone who has streamed the song, bought it, watched the video, shared it, or told someone else about it. You helped make this moment possible. And in many ways, this moment belongs to you too—especially to anyone who has ever heard the words “you’ll never make it” and, by God’s grace, chose not to give up. I know what those words can feel like. But I also know that God can take your story further than you can see right now. So wherever you are in your own journey, keep going. Keep trusting Him. Your story may only be getting started.
There are still more songs to write, more places to go, more people to reach, and so much more ahead. I don’t know exactly what the next chapter looks like, but I know Who holds it. For now, I’m grateful for this moment and excited to see where God takes the music next.

“Lift your hands, don’t you stop believing.”
